De-stress and fight boredom with these activities from Art Class Curator
I've been following Art Class Curator for the past several months, ever since I decided that I wanted to incorporate more visual arts into my classes this school year. Though the price point for many of the resources is a bit out of my range, there are a bunch of freebies and a ton of great ideas, like this, from the latest newsletter:
A lot more focus has been put on social-emotional learning in the last few years – as a middle school teacher, it seems like SEL is often the number one thing I do throughout the day – and many teachers have been thinking about ways to address the emotional well-being of their students during the pandemic. I think these Brain Breaks are great ways to combat stress and boredom and to develop creativity.
I just added these Brain Breaks as optional activities in my distance learning classrooms and I'll be encouraging my kiddos to try them out this week.
