A podcast recommendation
While scrolling through my podcast app a few days ago, I came across Finding Harriet. It is a short series -- three episodes of about 30 minutes each and one bonus episode -- about one of the most famous African-American women in American history. I've heard about Harriet Tubman ever since I was a kid, but like most people, I knew very little about her.
I was looking for a podcast to listen to while doing some chores around the house (hurray for sheltering at home!) and I was also about halfway through reading The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates, in which Harriet Tubman is an important character. So I thought I'd give Finding Harriet a chance.
It was great and I highly recommend it.
