I've been listening to NPR's Up First every morning for the last few weeks on my NPR One app. It's been a dependable source of news, especially during the 2020 election cycle and the novel coronavirus pandemic.


This morning, Up First included a bonus episode of Throughline, a current events-meets-history podcast, about the similarities and differences between our current situation and that of 1918. There is a lot that we can learn from the "Spanish Flu" (listen and you'll see why I put that in quotation marks). It's a good listen with some important lessons.
