Two additional new covers in July!
Kadir Nelson has been on a tear these past few weeks. Now add two more magazine covers to his list of works, the July/August issue of The Horn Book Magazine and the July 6 and 17 issue of The New Yorker.
The Horn Book Magazine cover depicts Nelson's reimagining of the scene on the Caldecott Medal, which he recently won for his book The Undefeated. Nelson also posted photos of his process on Instagram.

The name of Nelson's latest New Yorker cover is "Distant Summer." You can read a brief interview with him about the piece here.
