Nightmare fuel from museums around the world

Apparently, museum curators need to have their fun, too! An article from Distractify, "Museum Challenges Bored Curators to Share the Creepiest Objects from Their Collections," alerted me to my favorite Twitter thread yet, #CreepiestObject.

Highlights include various "mermaids," a toenail (yes, that's a TOENAIL!), botfly larvae erupting from a horse's intestine, and a horrifically taxidermied chimp.
